Midsommar!
A highpoint in the Swedish calendar: Midsommarafton (literally, the day before midsummer), a day spent eating and drinking outside - when the weather allows it. Today we were lucky, as the sun was shining and made it possible to picnic and run around...

Green day

Green day
Otto still unable to attend nursery today, so we went to Kungsholmen instead, as the weather is warm and sunny. The children's park along the water facing T-Centralen is perfect for Otto's current interests: boat, train and plane spotting... Green shorts...

After several of his little friends from nursery, Otto has now caught a naughty bug which is giving him a runny nose and pink feverish cheeks...So it's home-with-maman for him today, except that the weather is too sunny outside to really stay at home....

Another little dress for Poppy, made with a 2009 Liberty print which I chose for its "business": teddies driving cars, strange dollies led by small dogs, little fat pink planes piloted from a balcony-like cockpit, windmills, castles, all on a lime yellow...

Yesterday was Victoria and Daniel's big day! Noone could ignore the festive event which had been prepared in every detail over the last few months. We watched the ceremony at home and then rushed outside to try to see the royal couple as their caleche...

The Swedes are the biggest ice-cream eaters in Europe. I don't know whether Lili is aware of the fact and feels it's her duty to feed the rumour or whether she IS part of the statistics in the first place... But here we are: she is a big ice-cream fan...

Lili's school was closed on Wednesday, so we had the opportunity to do something special, together with Grand-mere, whose stay with us was coming to an end. We chose to go to Hallwylska Palatset , a private palace owned by a ( very) (very) (very) rich...

Silk
Situated in the heart of Södermalm, the K.A Almgren silk weaving mill is still where it once was established, some 170 years ago. The lilac trees found in the courtyard are, apparently, the original plants put there when the first silk mills were inaugurated...

Still wildlife

Still wildlife
Part of Skansen, though few people know it, Biologiska Museet is one of my favourite places to visit in Stockholm. The building itself is impressive, as completely clad in dark wood shingles outside and formed around a double helical staircase inside....
