Away to the country
Over the weekend Pete and the little ones went to visit some friends who recently bought a summer house an hour's drive away from us. I was at home to do some work that I really needed to tackle, but Lili took some pictures to show me all their adventures....

Beaver quest
Today was busy with a birthday party for Otto, washing to do, a lot of rain in the morning but when the sun came out after lunch we went for a walk to our secret new beach. No ice on the water today, but quite a few surprises on the way as we discovered...

Felt
Felted wool - an exhibition of our friend Ane Svenheden's work at Ekebyhovslott. We went to say hello and admire her wonderful pieces. And then it was time to pick up Poppy, who had spent her first sleepover together with her friends, exciting!

On our land
Another trip to our site today: we wondered if we could graft one apple tree onto another, before the site becomes a mess of mud and big machines. We are not sure our attempt will be successful, but at least we tried... we took advantage of our neighbour's...

Sewing-recycling... last night I finished a dress for Pops, which was a project that I had started many months ago but was not pleased with the result - wrong shape, wrong size, wrong colours of binding...I tackled it again and revived it, as I liked...

Yesterday when the light was warm and inviting we took a few pictures of the old buildings currently standing on our site. Not only did the evening light did make them look more interesting, it was also a way to pay our last tribute to them and record...

Blue anemones

Blue anemones
The sun was shining nicely mid-afternoon, it made our little walk in the woods a tad warmer - a wooly hat and gloves were still appreciated. The blue anemones are out, buds can be seen on many branches...in a few weeks, it is going to be an explosion...

Vårsalong 2016
We had not yet managed to see this year's Vårsalong (Spring exhibition) and it was going to end next weekend! So we decided this was our last chance and a way to keep us busy on a rather gray Sunday. This year's edition was fairly unusual as it was hosted...
