When the snowstorm stops and the sun comes out, snow is very photogenic! Big boots, ski-gear and hats are necessary but well worth the trouble once in the forest! Beautiful! And more snow is falling now, more scheduled for the next few days...

It is winter for cats too... even though they are not going out yet, Flash and Basil are enjoying the cosiness of their woolly pod, the thick sheepskin or the view from the top of the fire place. We are smitten in our kittens.

Poppy's horse, Skramur, comes from Iceland. So this weather is no trouble for him. Nor is it for Poppy, when she is well wrapped for her riding lesson. High five!

...of snow, finally! Good timing as this is half-term break. Otto has tried our local ski slopes with Peter and they are planning a sneaky trip to Romme, in Dalarna, to ski even more at the weekend.
