After a quiet Saturday with not much happening, our Sunday was a bit more active : we crossed the road towards the castle, passed the horses, went up the woods and came out near the south beach of Lundhagen, wlaked along the water a bit, stopped for lunch...

Last ride before Christmas

Last ride before Christmas

Today was Poppy's last riding session for the term. The light was beautiful on the way there - we walk about 3km there and 3 km back in the dark, it was certainly... refreshing today in the snow, thermometre read minus 3... We can't wait to start again,...

Extra coating

More snow! We left earlier for a long walk before the sun would go down, had a lovely lunch at Nykrog, our now favourite stop on the south peninsula of our island - Poppy certainly enjoyed her little pots of chocolate cream... Very few people around but...

A white friend

We woke up to discover the ground was white and the rain we had expected was in fact snow, falling quite steadily all morning... so after lunch we ventured outside and we realised it was "kram snö" i e snow that can be easily packed and shaped, we had...

Sparkling ice

A short walk by the water, before lunch and before the sun starts going down... the temperature had dropped during the night and left amazing icy shapes in the grass and between the branches. Spectacular and tempting to grab a few, if you ask Otto...
